Let me introduce myself...

I'm 5 weeks old today and it's time I speak for myself. I'm Grant, officially, but Mom and Dad call me all sorts of names: Bud, Buddy, Bubber, Baby Cakes, Cutes or Loves. They have no idea the confusion this causes me.

About my parents... wow, does my mom have good milk! I can't stop drinking it sometimes and that's probably the cause of my extreme weight gain. I'm almost 12 pounds now!

I must say that even though Mom's home with me all day, Dad's my favorite! He got me to smile for the first time.

And, boy do I love when he gives me my baths. One time, just for fun, I pooped on him, right after we were done. Okay, okay. I'll be honest. It was more than once and I laughed inside.

What I like about my life so far, besides the milk, is getting out. I love playing rugby- it really wears me out!

...and going to the beach

...and downtown Seattle

And meeting the whole family, like Dad's cousin and my new little friend, Grace.

But most of all, I just like to be with Mom and Dad... wherever we go.

Our 4th of July Celebration

Shawn, Tasha, Clayton, Packer and Grandma Monahan came to visit. Here's Clayton with Baby Grant.

Grandma, after one of her successful burping sessions...

It wasn't exactly perfect weather, so we lounged inside and waited for the fireworks.

Watching fireworks from Queen Anne... Grant was sleeping, of course.

It was seriously an incredible show...

But Clayton managed to fall asleep- 11pm is really late for a 3 year old.

2 weeks old... at a Mariners game??

I'm quite sure Grant was the youngest one at the game last week. People kept asking, "How old is your baby?" I saw a few of them get on their phones to call CPS. Does that make us bad parents... taking him out so young? He enjoyed the noise (slept right through it) and loved the peanuts and cracker jacks we fed him!
The people all around us probably got annoyed every time we stood up to take pictures, but it's not like the Mariners were doing anything exciting. That's not my sister standing with us; she's my mom and she has 12 grandchildren!

The distinguished guest in the 8th row gives his critique of the game...
