Trip to Portland

Grant and I packed up a small suitcase and took a trip to see my newest nephew in Portland. This little guy has two very energetic brothers who kept Grant busy with lots of toys, costumes, messes and outdoor fun.

Little Lincoln is quite tempting for Grant. He loves babies, and tries to be gentle with them, but doesn't know his own girth. A light caress on the face tends to turn into a scene from Of Mice and Men... :) But with these two brothers, I'm sure Linc will get used to rough play.

Portland this time of year is absolutely gorgeous. We needed to get our fill of beautiful Autumn colors before we head back to the desert. Here we are at the zoo:

The boys loved the new lion exhibit and the lions loved them.

Polar bears!

Free samples at the Farmer's Market. Kids, get your fill- this is lunch!

Who could be bored when there's coke bottle glasses and red noses around?

By far, Grant's favorite toy... Of course, he had to fight Packer for it if he ever wanted some time behind the wheel.

Yes, we had lots of fun, lots of noise and lots of creative play. As you can see by Grant's heavy eyes, we did not have lots of sleep!

Pictures for Granny

Grant loves the toys at Grandpa and Grandma Monahan's. Most of them take a ton of batteries that nobody wants to replace, so he has to use his imagination and pretend they work.

His favorite new teddy bear

Hair cut #..... well, I've lost track

Peanut butter play dough!!
