This must be Mike-y T's kid, not Will's!

Hey, Daddy. I'm bored with Mom. Can't wait to play with you tomorrow!

You won't even recognize me... I've grown up alot this past week.

I love you and miss you so much!

Spinach- the constipation cure

So innocent. He has no idea that I traded in his yams for spinach.

My bath time

I take my baths very seriously. It's alot of work... and since I have NO privacy, I'll keep this censored.
(No, that's not a wig. It's real hair and I style it myself.)

The first thing I do is splash until the soapy water burns my eyes.

Then I laugh and play a little more.

Next, I get the soap and scrub in between all my rolls.

And finally, I eat whatever's left over.

Christmas Vacation

This is what our place in Seattle looked like before we left for Arizona! A white Christmas! We took advantage of it and tried to play outside. Unfortunately, our little guy caught a cold and was sick the whole vacation. He was still happy, though!

We had our own Christmas the night before we went on vacation. Grant looks tired because he was, plus he had a cold. The first gift he opened was a little toy car from Grandma Dorothy. We loved the car... Grant loved the wrapping paper and the bow!

Christmas Eve with the Monahan's. Grant begged to wear his Santa suit.

He met his Great Aunt Kim and Uncle Mark for the first time.

This cousin is 2 years old. She insisted on holding "baby" Grant. As you can see, he is twice her size and almost smashed her.

Presents at Grandma and Grandpa Monahan's

The teddy bear was cute, but the box and paper were the preferred gift.

Look at this happy kid! And this was when he was sick!

Check out the weather in AZ... we went hiking in shorts.

Grant met his new friend, Cali. She is the daughter of Will's mission buddy. They really liked each other and we had to take a picture.

After about a week, it was time to leave the sun and go home. We rode first class back to Seattle... Grant was too excited to sleep. Oh, and his tongue is hanging out in almost every picture because he's feeling his new teeth! We'll post pictures when we can capture a good shot. They're barely poking through, but he loves running his tongue across them.

The making and breaking of the gingerbread house

We started a new family tradition... making gingerbread houses from scratch. What this means is that Will meticulously measures and designs the pattern for our house, using some mathematical formulas and ruler. Then we make the dough, roll it out, cut it and bake it. The process takes some time, but in the end, it's a lot of fun!

The finished product comes with work...

Mixing, rolling, cutting, eating scraps equivalent to an entire gingerbread wall

Drying, cooling, waiting for frosting

The magic begins... friends came over and we all decorated our own houses with candy, cereal and frosting.

Here's the girls acting like they are decorating, but the husbands took over and did most of the work.

The finished product

We decided to eat some of it before we left for Christmas break. The eating was almost as fun as the making.

Here's the destroyed house. We turned it into a manger of sorts I guess.
