For those of you who only look at our blog to see Grant, skip this post... While we were on a second honeymoon, Grant was getting spoiled rotten by Grandma Dorothy. Though we missed him terribly by day 5, we really took advantage of the high adventure Costa Rica had to offer, along with the R&R that every vacation requires. Thanks to Will's airline miles and hotel points, we not only backpacked around like vagabonds, but we stayed at some pretty sweet Marriott hotels. Someday, we will go back and stay forever.
We ended up needing to rent a tiny 4x4 to get to Arenal and Monte Verde. It was well worth it. Here you can see the volcano and the monkey we spotted on our drive back.
This was the lake we jumped into after a pretty gnarly hike. And since we were the only ones there and did not have swimsuits... well, we took advantage of the situation.
Here's the Caribbean on the eastern part of the country- one of our favorite places. Pictures could not capture the real beauty of those beaches!

Okay, that zip line looks awesome! What an amazing trip. My brother served his mission there, but he always sent home pictures of huge bugs, diseased dogs, and drunk men lying on the street. Your pictures seem much more appealing.:)
